ANIMAL CURIOSITIES

Macaques have fun with everything, even with.....the garbage unfortunately

Macaques are the most widely distributed genus of primates after humans. They are widespread in large parts of Asia: from Afghanistan to China, from India to south-east Asia and Japan. In addition, one species (Macaca sylvanus, commonly known as the bertuccia) lives in north-west Africa.

Notoriously a mischievous animal, it has been included in the list of the world's 10 most invasive living species. In fact, it is able to adapt well to its surroundings, despite needing certain characteristics to survive (the presence of a herd, proximity to water).

From Malaysia come beautiful photos of some macaques intent on playing with what they find around the forest, mainly (and sadly) plastic waste. Curious moments captured by the cameras.

Macaques also have excellent manual skills, since, as can be seen from the photo, they are able to remove the label from plastic bottles. This is probably something he has never done in his life.
