ANIMAL CURIOSITIES

Animals become famous on social media (and this could be a problem for them)

Some animals are very popular on social media, dogs and cats in particular. However, there are breeds that are gaining more and more visibility and appreciation.

If this puts an emphasis on the protection of these animals, on the other hand it creates a problem: many people may be tempted to acquire these mostly exotic species with the aim of turning them into pets.

Some animals, such as axolotls or pythons, have special needs and human attention may adversely affect their welfare.

The black widow
The black widow has so far been able to generate over 6.5 billion views on TikTok.
