How the app works
Those who are used to living with a cat probably sense when their cat has something wrong. Now, thanks to this Japanese app, they may have an additional tool to tell if their cat has any ailments. The Carelogy Inc. app can detect if something is wrong by analysing elements such as the position of the animal's ears, eyes or whiskers.

How the technology works
Carelogy Inc.'s app could be useful when the problem is not yet serious and the cat is not showing more obvious symptoms. The technology set up by the developers is based on some 6000 photographs, which help to intercept the probable alarm signals given by the cat.

How it could be useful in the veterinary field
According to Prof. Ryuji Fukushima of the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, this type of application could be very useful in the field of veterinary medicine because it could serve to greatly limit errors made during the diagnostic phase, enabling more effective results.
